Growing up in Brantford

In December 2016, we received our licence from Health Canada to start producing medical marijuana at our Brantford facility, which is in the city’s industrial area and covers 14,000 square feet over two floors. We eagerly started production in January 2017.

Then, at the beginning of August, we got permission to extend production, and to start producing cannabis oils at the facility.

Here’s what Jennifer Maccarone, our Vice President of Regulatory and Government Affairs, had to say: “[Before] the amendment to the licence, our Brantford plant could only store 100 kg of dried cannabis per year. Now our production is only limited by the security level of our vault.”

“As soon as we get our equipment in, we’re ready to move into production. So in the very near term, our plan is to incorporate oil production into our current production stream. We plan to continue producing dried cannabis in Brantford for the foreseeable future.”

By starting to produce cannabis oil, we’ll need to add at least three full-time, highly skilled professionals to our current great team of 22 in Brantford.
